Update: A big thank you to everyone who came out for the 3.1 Project Dear Japan, We Love You fundraiser last week. The turnout was overwhelming and attendees were generous with bidding (who wouldn’t want a Keith Haring!), so we were able to raise significant funds to help our brothers and sisters in Japan. Here is a pic from the event of Ali (inspiration forUpMyAli) and lifelong friend Yuko.
Whatever plans you have for this Friday, April 8, change them. Or at least, postpone them until later. 3.11 Project presents Dear Japan, We Love You silent art auction benefit, offering you the opportunity to get your hands on some awesome art while aiding our friends in Japan. All proceeds and additional donations will go directly to the Japan Earthquake Relief Fund via Japan Society.
It is comforting to know that when needed, the global art community comes to together in a show of humanity. So, as you read this, pull out your Ipad, Blackberry, Droid, old school bound paper agenda, or the scrap note you use as a schedule because the moleskin diary got lost, and write this event in for Friday evening. Heck, since it is for a great cause, I won’t even be upset if you outbid me (then again, since its silent, I shouldn’t know if you do!). Please be sure to RSVP your attendance to firstname.lastname@example.org
See you there!
