Today was a whirlwind as I was on set all day shooting a MAJOR beauty story for the big spring issue of Glamour Mexico. Although the average reader will have to wait until April to see how to translate the runway trends to real-way style, I got some insider trips directly from the hair and makeup pros to share with you!
Beauty Trend #1: Coral Lips

Coral lips were everywhere on the runways, from Milly, to Isaac Mizrahi, to Ralph Lauren and Marc by Marc Jacobs. According to the pro artists at M.A.C., the key to achieving this fresh Tropicana lip is to use a hyper pigmented lipstick but apply it sparingly, so that it comes off more like a stain. Best shade? Try Morange:
Beauty Trend #2: The Undone Updo

It has been said that romance lies is in the imperfections, and this is as true in life as it for hair! Celebrity stylist, Charles Baker Strahan told us that the key to achieving the right amount of deconstruction when wearing your hair up is to work with its natural texture, i.e. no hair dryers. Instead, let the hair air dry and then use a large barrel (1″) curling iron to create natural looking waves. Then, using your hands, break up the curls and create loose knots. Use bobby pins to secure the knots and finish with a hair spray that allows movement such as Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly.

Ladies, summer is all about fresh, bronzed skin, juicy lips and a come hither stare. For those us who are not lucky enough to be born with long- fringed peepers, the perfect mascara that provides great curl, extension and rich pigment is key.
